Legal Operations Staff Supervisor
This position coordinates and directs legal secretarial staff supporting claims attorneys in multiple offices. Including leadership, support, training, coaching, and counseling of legal secretaries to ensure compliance with claims legal and customer service best practices.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and assign work to reporting personnel, coordinate their activities,
and expedite workflow.
Review work assignments for accuracy and ensure compliance with court
rules and departmental standards.
Assist, guide and support employees in work assignments.
Supervise employees' compliance with Club policy, as well as federal and
state labor laws.
Prepare and submit necessary reports to management for approval in
compliance with those laws.
Interview, test, screen, and hire applicants as replacements or additions to
staff.
Budget preparation and tracking.
Provide daily, ongoing job performance guidance and instructional
assistance to secretarial staff.
Monitor Case Management System ensuring timely and accurate data entry
to track house and outside counsel fees, expenses, and performance.
Prepare letters and legal documents for use by attorneys and support staff,
write ad hoc reports and provide statistical information to management.
Perform regular and comprehensive audits of legal files and computer case
management system to ensure compliance with departmental policy.
Perform administrative functions such as reporting absences/vacations,
ordering and monitoring supply inventory, approving drafts, preparing
payment requests, reporting computer problems, maintaining postage
machines, and ensuring compliance with mandated draft control
procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate required.
4-year college degree in business or related field desired.
Minimum of three to five years related secretarial and/or legal experience
required.
Experience in office supervision preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced organizational/planning skills necessary.
Ability to prioritize and evaluate work of others needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality required.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$76,400.00 - $101,900.00Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
