The Company
A leading global developer in renewable energy projects, with one of the broadest product portfolios in the industry.
The Role
The primary focus of the role will be focused on execution matters, including:
Providing comprehensive support throughout tender processes, project acquisition, and final negotiations.
Collaborate with project management and senior contract management teams to formulate contracting strategy for projects and analyse contract risks and form mitigation strategies.
Tendering to contract award stages,
Identifying and qualifying subcontractors for identified scopes of work.
Prepare or review requests for proposals/tender documents for distribution to vendors.
Review and evaluate proposals for adherence to tender requirements and lead the commercial review of bids.
Perform contract review and prepare contract summary documentation for use by project personnel.
Ensure that contracts and subcontracts meet applicable company standards.
Leading negotiations with clients and engaging key stakeholders throughout project execution.
Demonstrate an extensive business and commercial understanding, as well as having the ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of compliance matters.
The Person
The successful Head of Legal will likely have:
Bachelors Degree Law LLB.
10+ years legal counsel experience in commercial / construction contracting environment within Wind Energy, Power generation, Oil and gas, Rail or EPCI.
Experienced with EPCI contracts associated to offshore construction – Substations, Wind turbines, Cables, Foundations, HVDC.
Familiarity with project planning and scheduling techniques.
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical with strong communication skills.
Detail oriented legal professional with proven track record in delivering high quality results.
Ability to effectively deliver solutions to complex project issues to senior management and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Travel to work.
