Aon is looking for a Pension Governance Attorney, Associate Partner

The associate partner will provide consulting advice on a wide array of governance consulting services to our clients, including but not limited to, board and committee self-evaluations, Executive Director and CIO evaluations, strategic planning, policy review and development, fiduciary and governance training, trustee orientation, fiduciary and governance audit reviews.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on all aspects of client deliverables, demonstrating the ability to develop and present client-ready work
  • Serves as a subject area expert on common and best governance practices and/or adds to Aon thought leadership on specific client types
  • Identifies and develops opportunities on client accounts, increasing the scope of existing projects and relationships
  • Provides proactive and creative support to clients.
  • Applies good judgment and appropriate follow-through
  • Demonstrates initiative and ownership of client -related work
  • Efficiently manages internal resources for effective handling of multiple client projects
  • Supports and leads marketing activities
  • Functions collaboratively across Aon practice areas and various regional leadership teams

  • Outstanding technical and analytical skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Expert level understanding of fiduciary responsibility, and governance common and best practices
  • Advanced writing, research, and communication skills
  • Clear and proven client relationship management skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area (e.g., business, finance, economics)
  • Advanced degree, JD preferred / or CFA and / or CAIA and / or CEBS credential(s) highly desired
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in consulting, primarily in the areas of board and/or committee governance and fiduciary responsibility
  • Ability to travel frequently
