THE ROLE: Contract Councel

The Presidio Contracts Counsel is responsible for facilitating commercial transactions while protecting Presidio from risk. The position will be focused on commercial transactions – negotiating and revising technology sales and services agreements with customers and resale contracts with vendors and the management of and negotiation of sales transactions generally.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

• Review, negotiate and revise Presidio commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements, Sales Agreements, Value Added Resale agreements, Managed Services Agreements, and other sales contracts on a daily basis.
• Negotiate agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance.
• Advise business clients on risk and company approval processes and policies.
• This position involves a significant amount of multi-tasking.
• The individual must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• The successful candidate will be able to prioritize effectively, work under the direction of the Assistant General Counsel, and interact well with internal clients, customers, staff and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Law Degree from an Accredited Law School
• Admission to the bar
• 3-5 years relevant experience, including negotiating contracts preferably within the corporate department of a law firm
• Ability to multitask, organize, plan, and prioritize workload; with strong attention to detail
• Cable or telecommunications industry experience preferred
• Knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and revise clear, concise commercial agreements
• Excellent client-service skills and attitude toward internal and external customers.
• Ability to accurately spot issues and formulate solutions with analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate legal subject matter to people who do not have in depth familiarity with legal concepts.
