General Counsel

Bbot is a rapidly growing startup that makes contactless in-venue and online ordering technology for bars, restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality establishments.

This position is full-time and is remote work from home.

A General Counsel at Bbot will collaborate closely with the CEO, COO, and Sales team to help prepare, review, and analyze contractual agreements of the company. Our ideal candidate has a broad knowledge of all aspects of the legal field, including litigations, corporate law, and labor law, to advise employees on a variety of subjects. Primarily though, you will be helping with customer contracts to ensure sales velocity. Every once in a while, you will help settle a partner dispute.

What you will do:

-Quickly gain knowledge and experience in how the business environment works to effectively advise executives on which contracts will positively affect the company

-Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations

-Work with 3rd party legal firms to finalize new contract agreements

-Advise executive members on new laws, existing laws, and legal rights that would impact the functionality of the business

-Keep a record of all legal documents and proceedings for the company

-Review contracts and other legal documents; research legal issues and recommend revisions as necessary

-Draft, review, and approve policies and procedures, regulations, bylaws, and other legal documents

Required Experience and Skills:

-4+ years of practice with an established law firm

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organizations

-Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives

-Knowledge of statutes, rules, and regulations pertaining to businesses

-Proficient understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality

-Strong attention to detail

-Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success

-Full-time employment position is open to all applicants in the United States except CO.
