We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting our business operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology law, intellectual property rights, contract negotiation, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal guidance on various aspects of the law as it relates to the technology sector, including software licensing, data privacy, intellectual property, and cybersecurity.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including software development agreements, partnership agreements, service agreements, and nondisclosure agreements.
Advise on compliance with federal, state, and international laws and regulations affecting the technology industry.
Work closely with the leadership team to identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations, product development, and strategic initiatives.
Manage litigation risks and oversee the work of external counsel as needed.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the companys business practices are in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its operations, providing actionable insights and strategies to navigate these changes.
Support the companys intellectual property strategy, including the protection of patents, trademarks, and copyrights.


Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in the State of New York.
Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in the technology sector or a related field.
Strong understanding of the legal issues related to software development, data privacy, and intellectual property.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to handling legal matters.
