Senior Legal Counsel, IoT Licensing
JOB DESCRIPTION
The team you'll be part of
Nokia Technologies seeks a skilled patent professional with significant experience in patent assertion claim chart drafting, defending, and patent litigation support activities. The qualified candidate should have a history of being a lead chart presenter in multiple high-value licensing meetings and be comfortable delivering charts face-to-face and remotely.
We are looking for a candidate who knows how to handle the background work and deliver charts credibly, consistently and convincingly. The candidate should be able to handle multiple licensing projects in parallel and have patent mining experience for assets in larger portfolios.
Looking for a team player who can work well with other attorneys, deal leads and technical team members. Experience with Internet of Things technology and patents preferred.
Possible locations: Finland, France, UK, US, Netherlands

RESPONSIBILITIES
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will:
- Conduct patent searches and analyze patents in technology area related to the Internet of Things, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Machine Learning etc.
- Prepare claim charts and provide infringement and validity analyses
- Attend out-licensing meetings and participate in technical licensing discussions
- Present claim charts to potential licensees, defend the claim reads and
- Assist in patent litigation and related proceedings
- Stay up-to-date with developments in patent law and trends in the technology area of Internet of Things
QUALIFICATIONS
Your skills and experience You have:
- At least 5 years of experience in patent prosecution and litigation, with a focus on Internet of Things technology
- Strong knowledge of patent law, including patentability and validity requirements
- Experience in drafting and reviewing patent applications and claim charts
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
