This role will serve as a strategic partner to CLEAR's People & Performance team, providing expert legal advice and guidance on employee relations matters across corporate and field (airport) locations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and promoting a positive employee experience.


What you'll do:

  • Partner with our People & Performance team to proactively manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations, to mitigate legal risks
  • Work alongside Training & Compliance teams to develop programs for managers and employees on relevant employment laws, policies, and best practices
  • Review and draft employment-related documents, such as policies, employment agreements, and communications, to ensure legal compliance
  • Manage employment litigation, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases, from initiation to resolution, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Handle claims related to employment practices, such as wage and hour disputes, EEOC charges, and ADA accommodations, providing strategic advice and legal representation as needed

  • Ensure all employment-related policies and procedures are compliant
  • Reduce legal risks associated with employee relations matters by implementing proactive measures
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders across the organization through proactive engagement

What you're great at:

  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in a corporate setting
  • Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice on complex employee & labor relations issues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active Bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience practicing employment law, preferably in a corporate environment or law firm
  • Experience working with both hourly & salaried employee populations

The base salary range for this role is $190,000 - $215,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEARs salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEARs total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
