Assistant Attorney General 3 - Revenue Section

Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks an attorney to serve in the Revenue Section.

Description
Attorneys in the Revenue Section represent the Iowa Department of Revenue before courts and administrative tribunals and provide legal advice to the agency on matters related to its operations.

Requirements and Preferences
Candidates must have a passion for public service and possess exceptional skills in statutory construction, administrative law, legal writing, and providing written and oral advice to agency staff. Probate experience preferred. This position requires a license, or the ability to obtain a license, to practice law in Iowa.

$97,864.00 $139,318.40, depending on experience.

Graduation from an accredited law school and five years of successful and responsible experience in the practice of law;three years of experience in the practice of law in the Department of Justice is considered as qualifying experience.
