Role Impact: Your leadership in the legal department will directly contribute to the company's strategic expansion and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team including a Director of IP and a Contracts Manager, with opportunities to further build and structure the team.

Complex Negotiations: Oversee high-stakes negotiations and the execution of commercial contracts worth hundreds of millions.

Global Strategy Implementation: Spearhead legal strategies for international expansion and entity formation across Europe and Asia.

Litigation and Compliance Oversight: Manage litigation processes and ensure compliance with international laws and regulations, enhancing the company's global standing.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Background: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Professional Experience: At least 15 years of combined experience in top law firms and in-house roles, with proven expertise in complex commercial contracts and international law.

Personal Attributes: Pragmatic, business-oriented, with the ability to provide direct, impactful advice under pressure.

Additional Requirements: Experience in life sciences or biotech preferred; must be willing to travel up to 50% if based remotely.

What We Offer:

Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary range of $300,000 - $400,000, potential for a 30-40% bonus, and an equity program with a five-year vesting schedule including a one-year cliff.
