JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Job Functions

  • Strengthen and manage an effective corporate compliance program, including employee trainings and annual certifications and disclosures.
  • Refine company policies and develop on a collaborative basis new policy as necessary
  • Monitor trends and advise on regulatory compliance matters, including managing our C-TPAT certification and other transportation industry regulatory processes.
  • Mange our ethics hotline and create and oversee effective action plans in response to concerns raised.
  • Support HR with compliance and internal investigations.
  • Assess company operations across business lines and North America locations to identify and mitigate compliance and regulatory risks in accordance with best practices.
  • Assist in special projects for legal department, with consistent focus on process improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree; JD strongly preferred although a non-JD candidate will be considered with the right level of relevant experience
  • At least 6 years of substantive corporate and regulatory compliance experience, with preference for time at both a law firm and in-house
  • Substantive knowledge of corporate compliance subject matter areas
  • Experience in the transportation sector preferred.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with using data to identify and measure key performance metrics.
  • Proven success with prevention, detection, and response initiatives
  • Ability to effectively lead across matrix of corporate functional and business unit teams.
  • Desire to be pro-active, challenged and grow professionally, with a focus on creative solutions.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Outlook and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
