Under limited supervision of the General Counsel, represents the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services in contested case hearings, administrative hearings including Office of Motor Vehicle Hearings, the Administrative Law Court, and other appeals as assigned; conducts research and drafts pleadings regarding the Ignition Interlock Device Program (IIDP); provides legal training to agents and other staff and outside stakeholders regarding the IID Program; provides legal advice to all level of employees related to their jobs; drafts and reviews policies and procedures, legislative bills, resolutions and amendments; and performs other duties upon request of the chain of command.A juris doctor degree or its equivalent from an accredited law school and experience as a practicing attorney.
