Aristotle Pacific Capital, LLC is a Newport Beach, CA based investment adviser focused on corporate credit and is an affiliate of Aristotle Capital Management, LLC. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented in-house attorney to join Aristotle Pacifics legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in investment management and a passion for delivering top-notch legal support. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of credit-oriented investment strategies and products in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do:
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal documents, including investment management agreements, client contracts, side-letter agreements, subscription agreements, trading documents, data license agreements and regulatory filings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of issues related to fixed income investments, securities laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including investment teams, operations/finance, and compliance members to provide legal guidance and support on investment, risk management and compliance/regulatory matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Support the firms corporate governance matters, including board and/or committee meetings, resolutions and corporate filings.
  • Stay informed about relevant legal and/or regulatory developments and industry trends to provide proactive advice and recommendations to the business.
  • Liaise and interact with members of the firm, including senior management, external counsel and clients.
What You Will Need:
  • 1-3 years of experience at a law firm, corporate legal department, or financial services firm, with knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act and preferably with exposure to investment management or general securities law.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in at least one state.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Compensation Range: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00, plus discretionary bonus.
Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individuals qualifications, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, education, internal equity, and physical work location within the state.

This role will be on-site in our Newport Beach, CA office.
