The Attorney Negotiations Manager is responsible for negotiating account balances with attorneys, case managers and paralegals, as well as handling other duties involved in attorney cases.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide outstanding customer service via phone, online communication, resolving issues.

  • Fulfill legal medical and billing records requests within 48 hours of receipt.

  • Provide written correspondence/replies to all requests received via email/fax/phone.

  • Negotiate patient/client account balances with Attorneys, Case managers, paralegals.

  • Ensure payments are received for all negotiated balances and accounts are notated.

  • Elevate issues as needed.

  • Other duties assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required

  • Healthcare experience and PIP knowledge preferred

  • Professional appearance and demeanor are required

  • Knowledge of insurance plans and providers

  • Knowledge of claims and billing

  • CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9 and ICD-10 knowledge

Preferred:

  • Excellent communication and verbal skills including proper grammar.

  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Advanced knowledge of UB 04, HCFA 1500, and any other billing forms and filing requirements.

  • Ability to motivate, delegate, control, monitor, and resolve issues in a performance driven, complex setting, use independent judgment; effective, team-oriented leadership skills.

  • Proficient in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.

Physical Requirements:

Standard Office Environment.

More than 50% of the time:

  • Sit, stand, walk.

  • Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs.

  • See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients.

Less than 50% of the time:

  • Stoop, kneel or crawl.

  • Climb and balance.

  • Carry and lift 10-20 lbs.
