Position Profile:

We are seeking an experienced corporate attorney to support our business. This person will be expected to perform a variety of tasks, help keep projects on track, support legal needs across multiple business functions, and handle more urgent requirements. This role will handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature across various functional areas. An ideal candidate is responsive, thoughtful, self-directed, positive, and seeking a challenging role.

A Corporate Attorney is a legal professional specializing in corporate law, responsible for consulting, handling legal processes, developing company policies, and safeguarding against legal risks. They provide guidance on various legal matters, manage legal proceedings, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in corporate law and possess excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Attention to detail, administrative capabilities, and ability to manage collaboration across business functions are also essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to employees and corporate officers.
• Consulting and handling corporate legal processes.
• Execute necessary precautions to protect the company by researching, anticipating, and guarding company against legal risks.
• Provide utmost confidentiality in all business-related matters.
• Manage different types of contracts, legal reports and supporting documentation.
• Negotiating deals and administering contracts.
• Developing company policy and position on legal issues.
• Managing legal proceedings.
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Oregon.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven (or demonstrated) experience in corporate law .
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage collaboration across business functions.
