Position Title: Corporate Counsel


Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, VP of Public Affairs and working closely with the Associate General Counsel and the Management Team, the Corporate Counsel will support Family Express Corporation and its affiliates in a variety of legal matters including real estate, contracts, mergers and acquisition, finance, intellectual property and other matters.

The successful candidate will be business-minded, have experience working in an entrepreneurial environment and will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, work environment, be willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done and be comfortable assisting on various legal matters even if outside their areas of expertise. Work in, and understanding of, real estate transactions is required including purchase agreements, title work and survey review and closings. Strong drafting skills and attention to detail are essential.

Requirements

Required Experience:

1 to 5 years of experience handling real estate and corporate transactional matters including experience at a highly respected law firm and/or experience working in an entrepreneurial corporate environment. Law firm experience, in-house experience or a combination of both. The ideal candidate will be business-minded and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, entrepreneurial environment.


Indiana Bar:

Candidates must be licensed in the State of Indiana or have the ability to become admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana.


Compensation:

Commensurate with experience.
