Associate Senior Legal Counsel, Employment - Americas

The Challenge

Adobe is looking for an experienced employment attorney to join the global Employment Legal Team reporting to the Senior Director, Americas Employment Law to support the companys growing Americas region. This role will provide employment legal support in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America, partnering closely with Adobes Employee Experience organization and other teams across the Legal, Security & Policy organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Be an active and energetic member of the Global Employment Legal Team,supporting Adobes Employee Experience teams in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America;

  • Be highly engaged in Adobes San Jose headquarters (preferred) or San Francisco office (with regular days in San Jose office);

  • Provide solutions-focused, risk-based legal guidance and support on all aspects of employment law, including complex employee relations matters and investigations, diversity & inclusion initiatives, harassment prevention strategies, wage and hour, leave of absence, accommodations, contingent workforce, and employment policies;

  • Monitor the external environment for emerging legal issues and trends

  • Build relationships to effectively collaborate with other members of the team on global projects and issues; and

  • When needed, oversee employment claims and litigation matters.

What You Need To Succeed:

  • An active license to practice law in the US (California bar preferred) and 7-10 years of deep employment law experience at a reputable law firm and/or in-house at a multi-national company supporting matters in California and across the US

  • Excellent judgment, strong communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple groups and functions.

  • Organization and the ability to effectively balance a large number and wide variety of issues and projects

  • A self-starter who can effectively prioritize in a fast-paced global environment.

  • An approachable, easy going and flexible manner with a sense of humor

  • Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the company on projects and initiatives to improve processes and increase scalability

  • 3 days in-office each week; some travel as needed

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $136,500 -- $261,000 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
