We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Corporate Counsel to join our global legal team. The Corporate Counsel will report directly to the Segment General Counsel and be responsible for providing legal advice and support to business leaders on a broad range of commercial matters. The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for carrying out complex legal assignments requiring substantive legal knowledge in diverse practice areas. In carrying out these duties, the Corporate Counsel will collaborate with various internal stakeholders, and when appropriate, outside counsel.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Review, analyze, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and partner with business stakeholders across the segment to drive results that align with business objectives.

  • Partner with executive leadership, operations, procurement, finance and human resources colleagues across all levels of the business, to provide comprehensive and timely legal support.

  • Engage, supervise, and direct outside counsel, while effectively managing external legal spend.

  • Collaborate with other members of the Oshkosh Legal Department on enterprise-wide projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Juris Doctorate degree from Accredited Law School

  • Five (5) or more years of experience as counsel in corporate or law firm environment

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction with the United States

  • Experience with commercial contracts including professional services agreements, supplier contracts, leases, marketing agreements, and routine and complex technology/software agreements.

  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written), drafting and negotiating skills.

  • Strong business acumen, problem solving skills and legal judgment.

  • Willingness and desire to learn and understand the Companys various business functions and operations.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to identify and analyze relevant legal issues, draft key documents, present clear and concise recommendations and ensure legal compliance.

  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex, global agreements.

  • In-house attorney experience with publicly traded manufacturing company

  • Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred) and experience with international operations

WORK SETTING

  • Hybrid schedule up to two days per week remote (work from home) and three on-site.
