Primary Purpose:

Advises and represents the organization on issues primarily in the areaof real estate law, but also provides legal advice and representationin related areas such as litigation, corporate law and environmentallaw. Responsible legal document preparation, consultation, supervision,legal advice, legal research, and representation of the corporationwith respect to matters affecting corporate real estate holdings,industrial development, telecommunications facilities and operatingmatters.

Principal Duties:

- Provides legal advice and supervision in the drafting of alldocuments affecting real estate transactions in a manner to bestprotect the interests of the Corporation, including the optimalutilization of real estate and other corporate assets.

- Performs title reviews and provides a legal opinion of the ownershipof currently owned properties as well as properties being acquired toexpand the operational capabilities of the Corporation.

- Constructs, reviews, approves and modifies contractual agreementsinvolving all real estate and other assets of the Corporation.

- Monitors and analyzes internal and external business, regulatory andfinancial issues and establishes best legal practices, including thedevelopment of forms and appropriate approval procedures relating toall acquisition, sales, leasing, licensing and other activitiesrelating to real estate and other assets of the Corporation.

- Provides real estate expertise in interactions with the Law andother departments in connection with the development of policies andstrategies for the Corporation.
