The agency is seeking a staff attorney to join the Office of General Counsel and support the program responsible for the award, administration, and oversight of State government contracts. The attorney will review, draft and negotiate government contracts and related solicitation documents, as well as advise on contract administration and contract disputes. Contracting areas include information technology, complex services, supplies, and construction. Law practice areas include administrative, general government, public records and open meetings, construction, UCC, general contract, and information technology. This position offers a stimulating practice and a collegial environment. It also offers employment stability and benefits package associated with state government employment.An applicant must have a juris doctor degree or its equivalent from an accredited law school, have been licensed as an attorney in the United States for at least 4 years, and be a member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar.
