At the Wyoming Attorney Generals Office, we strive to provide quality legal services to state agencies to effect better outcomes for Wyoming citizens. Attorneys in our office have the opportunity to develop their legal skills in a collaborative environment while doing interesting and meaningful work and maintaining a work-life balance.

The Wyoming Attorney General's Office seeks two qualified applicants interested in serving as attorneys to provide professional legal representation to the Department of Family Services. Both positions will include representation of the Agency in appeals to the Wyoming Supreme Court. The positions also include litigation in termination of parental rights cases, guardianships, administrative contested case matters, and subpoenas. Both attorneys will also advise the Department of Family Services on legal matters on a day-to-day basis, review administrative rules and regulations, and other duties as assigned. In addition to the above, one of the attorney positions will take the lead in advising the Department of Family Services related to juvenile justice programs. The other attorney position will take the lead in advising the Wyoming Children's Trust Fund and the Department of Family Services' economic assistance programs.

These positions provide an immediate opportunity to handle complex issues present in child welfare law practice and provide for regular appearances in district court and the Wyoming Supreme Court. These positions provide an opportunity to develop and utilize legal writing, oral advocacy skills, civil litigation skills, and client counseling skills.
