Your Role: You will provide legal advice and guidance for corporate, regulatory compliance, and governance matters impacting business strategy and policies or claims and evaluate the legal risk and impact for Dot Foods and its affiliates.

  • Draft, negotiate, and review various legal agreements, including supplier, customer, vendor, real estate, contractor and subcontractor agreements, and file government reports.
  • Analyze legal issues, support commercial matters, and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Oversee, manage, and prepare the compliance and maintenance of corporate records, policies, and charter documents.
  • Manage in-house legal department and outside counsel.
  • Concisely and effectively communicate complex matters in oral and written form.
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

Role Specifics:

  • Travel – Overnight travel required. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
  • Schedule – Monday – Friday; Ability to be on call 7 days a week.

We Need You To Have:

  • Juris Doctorate Degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in MO or IL.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent research, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

We’d Like You To Have:

  • 4-9 years Corporate, Employment, and/or Litigation experience.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Effectiveness in teaching and coaching others.
  • Ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner.
  • Effective meeting and group facilitation skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
