Our subsidiary, New Horizons, is a leading receivership and receivership support services firm . The firm supports receivers or other court-appointed representatives in a variety of litigation or circumstances including real estate partition, property management, business partnership disputes, investor fraud, identification, tracking and liquidation of assets, and operation of ongoing businesses pending dispute resolution or dissolution. Overview:

You will report to and assist the General Counsel for On-Target Supplies & Logistics, Ltd. and its related entities and can expect to work closely with the executive management of the Company. In addition to providing support for New Horizons, the Assistant General Counsel will also provide support for On-Target Supplies & Logistics, Ltd. and its other entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel and guidance on all aspects of receiverships,?including but not limited to contracts, lease agreements,?property management,?environmental issues,?creditor claims,?and litigation.

  • Draft,?review,?and negotiate contracts,?leases,?and other legal documents related to receivership matters.

  • Manage relationships with court-appointed receivers,?property managers,?lenders,?and other stakeholders involved in receiverships.

  • Coordinate and communicate with outside counsel retained to represent receiver.

  • Conduct due diligence on receivership properties and identify potential legal risks and liabilities.

  • Stay current on relevant laws and regulations governing real estate receiverships and advise the business on best practices.

  • Represent the company in legal proceedings related to receiverships as necessary.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams,?including finance,?operations,?and risk management,?to ensure alignment with legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate law and/or commercial litigation practice; experience?with receiverships not required but preferred.

  • Strong understanding of commercial leasing,?property management,?and environmental law a plus.

  • Excellent negotiation,?communication,?and writing skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proactive and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
