Job Description
We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced and motivated Attorney to join our team. The position requires the following, but is not limited to:
- Review of claims and insurance policies to determine coverage, liability and damage issues.
- Review of assigned claim files to insure that the Company meets all obligations and responsibilities to insureds, third parties, regulatory authorities and the courts.
- Review of outside counsel activities to insure that the Company and its insureds receive competent representation, services that are necessary and at a reasonable cost.
- Provide advice and counsel with regard to other general corporate matters.
Skills & Experience
- A law degree and license to practice law.
- Previous legal experience preferred, especially in the area of tort or insurance law.
- Ability to exercise excellent legal, analytical and comprehension skills.
- An ability to use written and verbal communication skills in providing legal advice, counsel and services for the Company.
- Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels is essential.
