Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and 1-3 years' experience as a practicing attorney.
Working knowledge of the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Act and Regulations.
Knowledge of the South Carolina Code of Laws.
Ability to interpret and apply laws and judicial decisions.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and orally.
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Necessary Requirements:
Must be a member in good standing with the South Carolina Bar Association.
Must be admitted to practice law in the state of South Carolina.
Must have satisfied all Rule 403 requirements prior to beginning employment.
- Extensive knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Act and South Carolina Law.
- Prior litigation experience that includes direct involvement in civil or criminal litigation to include deposition preparation, tracking case statuses, preparing trial summaries of testimony and exhibits, and experience developing and executing case strategy.
- Position may require overnight travel.
- Position may require employees to work evenings and weekends.
- Position may be required to travel to court and transport files.
