Perform legal work in the TTU System Office of General Counsel, an office with 17 attorneys across three office locations that provides legal services for the TTU System.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must hold Juris doctorate and have graduated from an ABA approved law school within the past 12 months, and either be licensed to practice law in any U.S. state, or is actively pursuing such a license. Demonstrated excellence in legal research, legal analysis, and written and oral communication.

About the Department and/or College

Our office serves as legal counsel for the Texas Tech University System, a $2.2 billion annual enterprise with over 20,000 employees and 53,000 students across its five component institutions: Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Angelo State University, and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, and Midwestern State University. We advise the Board of Regents, System administration, and university administration, faculty, and staff, acting in their official capacities on all legal matters. Our office works directly with the Office of the Attorney General of Texas on litigation and manages outside counsel on certain specialized legal matters.
