As a Corporate Counsel you will support all day-to-day legal activities.

What You'll Do at OM1

    • Lead all aspects of the Legal department including the Contract Specialist
    • Draft and negotiate contracts with clients, partners, vendors, and research sites
    • Support business development efforts including developing scalable contract templates
    • Serve as escalation point for legal questions from Contracts Specialist
    • Assist with questions related to HIPAA and other data privacy regulations
    • Review existing agreements and assist outside counsel with legal business regarding the companys rights and obligations
    • Provide general legal legal, corporate, commercial, and compliance support for the companys activities
    • Assist Outside General Counsel with the companys intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks
    • Work with the companys liability insurance broker to help oversee the risk management/insurance program
    • Develop and deliver relevant training programs to management and staff

What Experience You'll Bring

    • Juris Doctor degree and a member of the Massachusetts State Bar
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of related legal life sciences experience in a fast paced, high tech environment working with life sciences companies, CROs, and clinical research sites
    • Strong knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines in high volume and an ever changing fast-paced environment
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
    • Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information
    • Demonstrated experience with contract negotiations
    • Demonstrated experience using a contracts management system
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office and GSuite software
