Who we are looking for:

This position will support the overall Compliance Program infrastructure for State Street Global Markets (SSGM) with a focus on GlobalLink and Research. The Compliance Advisory, Vice President will take the lead on GlobalLink Compliance, as well as Research, coordination efforts. In addition, the position supports two large functional areas within SSGM, playing an important supporting role for the Volcker Compliance Program, as well as serving as a SME relative to marketing policy adherence.

This role can be performed in hybrid model (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).

What you will be responsible for

As Compliance Advisory, Vice President you will

  • Serve as primary point of contact for GlobalLink, as well as Research, Compliance advisory matters

  • Supply advice and guidance on policy application, reviewing content authored by sales, relationship management and executive management as needed, and facilitating review and creation of marketing disclaimers

  • Lead presentations/training to the business, including mid/ senior level management

  • Work independently on new initiatives

  • Monitor applicable regulatory changes and provide effective change management to address such changes

  • Provide compliance support for other areas of SSGM and Global Treasury as needed.

  • Support execution of the Volcker Compliance Program

  • Proven record supporting, partnering, and/or interacting with internal business clients regarding compliance

  • Well versed in US regulations and regulatory environment and to be able to understand and interpret new and changing US regulations

  • US based expertise is needed and may entail interaction with US regulators, self-regulatory organizations and third parties such as outside counsel and consultants

  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Strong writing skills with ability to draft compliance policies and procedures

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree, Law degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of proven experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, and/or Risk Management.

  • Ability to research, read and understand regulations and apply them to the business.

  • Familiarity with Archer, Excel, Powerpoint,Cube

  • Experience interacting with regulators and participating in regulator examinations

Salary Range:

$100.000 - $167.500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
