Job Description Summary:

The Senior Legal Counsel, Marketing Partnerships will report directly to the Senior Legal Counsel, Head of Marketing Partnerships. The role will seek to advance the Companys strategic plan by negotiating marketing rights to global assets across the music, film, entertainment, and social media categories, and through our partnerships with marketing agencies including WPP (our primary global partner) and our strategic roster of local agencies. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with other legal specialists and corporate functions such as Marketing, Finance, IP, IT, Privacy and Data Security, and may also assist on global sports programs.

What You'll Do for Us:

  • Actively participate on the Global Marketing Partnerships team working closely with the Head of Marketing Partnerships and the Associate General Counsel and collaborating with other attorneys in the Global Legal Function and business colleagues across the system;
  • Establish strong relationships to help drive the strategic priorities of the EPICS (Entertainment, Partnerships, Influences, Culture and Sports) Team with an emphasis on Music, Film and Influencers;
  • Maintain an ongoing understanding of trends in Marketing generally and Entertainment (Music, Film and Influencers) specifically, to anticipate and evaluate risk and think and act strategically in support of the business;
  • Draft, review and negotiate Master Agreements and related documents with strategic global marketing partners and talent in the Music, Film, and Influencer categories;
  • Assist in the establishment and handling of talent relationships;
  • Manage and prioritize assignments to ensure timely, customer-oriented support for the business;
  • Ensure compliance with the Companys Code of Business Conduct and ethical standards by providing guidance and governance to our client groups; and
  • Collaborate with colleagues and work to a performance standard that helps establish service level consistency across the Global Supply Chain Team and the Global Legal Function overall.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or its equivalent;
  • Juris Doctorate Degree or its equivalent;
  • Licensed to practice law under any U.S. State or International equivalent and maintaining good standing under the corresponding legal practice regulatory body;
  • 10+ years of legal practice experience with at least 5 years handling complex commercial negotiations;
  • Experience in the Entertainment, (Music, Film, Influencers, social media), Digital, IT and IP categories;
  • Strong Legal Digital Skills including Digital Marketing Literacy, Legal Analytics and AI, Cybersecurity Awareness, and Document Management;
  • Strong writing and communication skills;
  • Business acumen and a non-silo, enterprise-wide mindset and approach: and
  • Ability to anticipate risks and find creative solutions.

    Pay Range:

    $185,000 - $225,000

    Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

    Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:

    30
