Position Overview:Reporting to the CEO, the General Counsel Officer is responsible for developing and leading corporate legal strategy to promote Great Minds PBCs growth as a public benefit corporation. The General Counsel will act as a strategic partner and business advisor to the CEO and the Board of Directors, while managing a team of corporate counsel and other members of the legal department.

Experience:At least 15 years of broad based and progressively responsible corporate legal experience, including experience in a B2B setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in leadership roles within public company environments at various stages of growth, as well as robust public company reporting and securities compliance expertise.

Location:Regular in-office presence is required in Washington, D.C., or Richmond, VA.

Compensation:Competitive base, bonus, and equity, commensurate with experience.

Bar: Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and willing and able to become licensed in Washington, D.C. within one year of joining Great Minds.
