RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be a part of a team handling:

• Technical analysis in 3rd party patent assertions and litigations against Nokia and our customers. The focus of this role shall be analysis of patents asserted in Europe and China.
• Evaluating risks for Nokia products based on assertion packages from third parties.
• Creating invalidity and non-infringement arguments, as well as studying potential workaround solutions
• Performing/sub-contracting prior art searches
• Co-operation with standardization and business unit experts to understand the technology and detailed product implementations
• Presenting defensive arguments in negotiations with 3rd parties

Working together with in-house and external counsels in litigations

QUALIFICATIONS

Your skills and experience:

• Patent Attorney
• Strong technological background and familiarity with communication standards, such as LTE and 5G
• MSc or similar qualification in a relevant technical field such as electrical engineering or computer science
• An aptitude for continuous learning of new and complex technologies
• A good team player

It would be nice if you also had/ are:

• At least 5 years of experience in IPR and/or cellular standards
• A fluent English speaker and writer
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritise effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
