Job Description

The Corporate Attorney will be in charge of the legal management of contracts, compliance and corporate matters. He/she will provide the company with effective legal advice, manage all legal activities and oversee the work of outside counsels. This position is also directly involved in complex business transactions and negotiations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drafts, negotiates and monitors the performance of all contracts (purchases, sales, partnerships, NDAs, leases, etc.)
  • Ensures consistency, manages risks and monitors deadlines
  • Ensures compliance of the company with regulations such as anti-corruption, GDPR, competition law
  • Manages any pre-litigation or litigation matters
  • Provides internal training on legal matters (contracts, compliance, etc.)
  • Provides continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of matters across all entities
  • Continuously monitors legal environment, including legal watch, on matters affecting all aspects of the business
  • Provides support to operations management related to employment law, immigration, potential litigation, policies and practices and compliance matters
  • Works in close relationship with the General Counsel of the Group and ensures full compliance of the company with the corporate rules applicable worldwide

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Highly skilled in contract law with emphasis on IT/IP laws
  • Advanced experience with industrial sector law preferred
  • Ability to learn business requirements, analyze legal and business risks and propose solutions
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Solid judgement and demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice and counsel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, behave ethically and exhibit discretion
  • Analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree from an accredited law school
  • Minimum three / five years experience as an in-house counsel, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts
  • Up to 10% travel required
