Position Overview:
The Corporate Counsel role will be responsible for contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial and lease transaction agreements. They will also provide professional legal interpretations and recommendations to business teams and leaders on regulatory and employment matters and administer legal activities to protect the companys interests.
What Youll Do:
- Manage contract administration including drafting, reviewing and negotiating various commercial and lease transaction agreements
- Manage retail lease agreements including understanding CAM charges, tracking renewal timelines to ensure covenant and requirements are met
- Provide legal interpretations and recommendations to leaders on employment matters
- Administer legal activities to protect the companys interest
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with outside counsel to support general legal matters
- Effectively communicate expectations, requirements, and status of deals to key stakeholders and business partners
- Perform other duties as assigned
What Youll Bring
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing of at least one state Bar
- 2-5 years of experience in transactional legal work
- Background in real estate and lease transactions required
- Proficiency in contract drafting and review
- Strong negotiation skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage and balancing multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical thinking, creative problem-solving ability, challengingthe status quo for continuousimprovement
- Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to negotiate and influence others
- Fluent in MS Office
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to work in a hybrid office environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear
Compensation Range: $120,000 - $160,000* (plus bonus potential)
*Compensationwill be determined based on a candidate'sskills, experience, location, etc.
