Titan Solar Power is currently seeking an experienced and driven Assistant General Counsel to Join our team.


Summary:

Under the direction of Titans General Counsel and in coordination of its Board of Directors, the Assistant General Counsel will assist the Office of Associate General Counsel in planning, organizing, and directing Titans business activities and operations. In addition, the Assistant General Counsel will perform a broad range of legal work, represent Titan in a variety of legal matters, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. The Assistant General Counsel will report directly to Titans Associate General Counsel team and can be located anywhere in the United States.


Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Titan employees across all departments to address a variety of legal and compliance issues.

  • Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a broad range of contracts and legal agreements.

  • Oversee and serve as liaison with outside counsel and insurance carriers in both litigation and non-litigation matters.

  • Review and manage insurance claims as well as provide updates, analysis, and recommendations.

  • Conduct legal research and analysis and draft legal memorandum.

  • Assist with Contractor Board Licensing complaints, Employment related legal claims and other regulatory matters.

  • Engage in discussions and negotiations with various third parties to resolve disputes.

  • Keep current on developments in law and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels pertaining to solar and renewable energy.

  • Such other duties may arise from time to time in support of the efforts of OGC and Titan

Education & Qualifications:

  • Must follow all relevant licensing requirements, including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment.

  • Experience in corporate compliance policies, procedures, and implementation.

  • High level of proficiency in transactional work is desirable.

  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple projects, both large and small, simultaneously.

  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to take initiative where appropriate.

  • Ability to communicate, work cooperatively, and interact comfortably with Titan employees, sales partners, and vendors.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Highest level of research and analytical skills.

  • Sound judgment and high degree of integrity and discretion.

  • Proficiency with Apple products, NetSuite, Gmail, Google Apps, and LexisNexis.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

  • Travel up to 10% of the time
