Overview: The General Counsel will provide strategic legal guidance to the Bolthouse Fresh Foods executive team, oversee the legal department, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The GC will be responsible for managing all legal aspects of the Companys operations, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, commercial transactions (including M&A), employee relations, regulatory compliance, litigation, and risk management.
Company: Bolthouse Fresh Foods is headquartered in the California Central Valley community of Bakersfield and is one of the largest growers and distributors of fresh carrots in the U.S. for cooking and snacking. Bolthouse Farms branded products are sold where consumers buy groceries at major retailers across the United States and Eastern Canada. The company also provides carrots to foodservice operations and beverage manufacturers.
Experience: The successful candidate will have at least 10+ years' legal experience, ideally from a mix of law firm and in-house positions. Prior experience as a general counsel or in-house in roles of increasing responsibility is preferred. Additionally, experience in the agriculture industry or food value chain is preferred.
Location: Bakersfield, California. This is not a remote role although the company will consider a hybrid arrangement.
Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Total compensation range package includes base salary, target bonus and benefits. The range will be $350k to $392k depending on experience.
