Are you an attorney with significant experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts between financial institutions that facilitate payment and trading transactions and related services? Are you interested in playing a significant role with a well-positioned, publicly-traded cryptocurrency company? This may be the role for you. The ideal candidate will have a strong resume and be creative, collaborative and have a significant background across a wide variety of technology and financial services-related contracts, including institutional trading, payments and custodianship. This role may be based in company offices in either Atlanta or New York City (hybrid in-office schedule).

Requirements for the Financial Institution Contracting Counsel:

  • 5+ years of legal experience (ideally a mix of corporate law firm and in-house, but attorneys with only law firm experience will also be considered)
  • Deep experience with commercial contracting between financial institutions, exchanges, custodians, payments companies to facilitate trading, payments and custodial services and arrangements.
  • Ideally, experience with crypto assets, platforms, trading, ETF developments and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to work under short deadlines and outside normal working hours with minimal advance notice and minimal supervision; self-sufficient and independent
  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia or New York or able to qualify for in-house exemption
  • Graduate of a well-regarded, ABA-accredited law school with strong academic performance
  • Outstanding professional references

Position Details of the Financial Institution Contracting Counsel:

  • Type of role: In-House Counsel - Permanent
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Location: Hybrid (Atlanta or New York City)

Compensation:
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $170,000 to $205,000 of base salary as well as an annual cash bonus and significant annual equity incentive. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, office location, qualifications, and credentials.
Benefits: In addition to pay, the full benefits will be available, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plans and generous leave policies.
