Job Description

Position: Corporate Attorney

Reports to: Associate General Counsel

Location: Little Rock, AR

Required Experience: 3 years experience in corporate law, drafting and reviewing contracts, and/or in-house legal counsel experience.

Major Job Duties:

Legal review, drafting and negotiation of all types of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, including but not limited to IT services, software license, product sales, transportation, construction services, settlement and release, and general services agreements

Work with internal business units to obtain feedback, understand internal needs and requirements and incorporate them into contracts, as appropriate

Work with outside counsel on company transactions and other matters

Advise internal business partners on contract provisions and other legal matters

Assist with coordination of litigation matters as needed

Prepare and present training materials for internal business partners, as needed

Draft or revise company policies, as needed

Perform other job-related functions, as requested

Qualifications:

  • Full-time onsite in Little Rock, AR office
  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
  • Admission in good standing to Arkansas state bar
  • 3 years of applicable legal experience
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing direction, manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently to assess and resolve complex legal issues
  • Ability to research and synthesize complex legal concepts and explain them simply and concisely to various levels of management
  • Strong interest in working with internal business partners
  • Professional demeanor, demonstrates high level of personal integrity, tactfulness, and adherence to ethical standards
  • Strong business and financial acumen
